A cartilha do amigo consists of ten phrases about friendship. Each is accompanied by a commentary and an illustration. The design is by the graphic artist Daniel Kondo.
history
The work was published in 2003, in the context of the Projeto Amizade no Terceiro Milênio (PATM), and was adopted by the Department of Education of the municipal government of São Paulo as well as the Department of Education of the state of Goiás. It was conceived to foster reflection of friendship as part of the promoting of peace; it is recommended reading for young adults and for teachers dealing with children and youths of seven and older.
